Wasim Akram bowling after retirement

It has been a long time that Wasim Akram left the international cricket. The left arm pacer from Pakistan has been stated as the best left arm seamer in the history of cricket. Wasim Akram was a specialist with the new and old ball. He was a guru in swing as well.

Here we see him bowling after a long time. He was holding the ball in his hands and telling that he would try to swing the ball
into the batter. Now this was a training session. Now Wasim did tell everyone that he is bowling after a long time so there is a chance that the ball does not come out the way he wants it to.

He is acknowledged as one of the greatest bowlers of all time. Wasim Akram was the only Pakistani cricketer to be named in an all-time Test World XI to mark the 150th anniversary of Wisden Cricketers' Almanack. Akram is regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers in the history of game. He holds the world record for most wickets in List A cricket with 881 and is second only to Sri Lankan off-spin bowler, Muttiah Muralitharan in terms of ODI wickets with 502.

He is considered to be one of the founders and perhaps the finest exponent of reverse swing bowling. In this video he proves that he is really king of swing. In this short video clip you can see how the ball swing and go into the wicket. He was the first bowler to reach the 500-wicket mark in ODI cricket during the 2003 World Cup.

Wasim was ranked as the best bowler in ODI of all time with a rating of 1223.5, ahead of Allan Donald, Imran Khan, Waqar Younis, Joel Garner, Glenn McGrath and Muralitharan.
He is currently working as director and bowling coach of Islamabad United in Pakistan Super League.

England cricketer shares experience of Pakistan visit

England cricketer Chris Jordan, who was a key member of Peshawar Zalmi’s winning squad, termed his experience of playing the final of Pakistan Super League in Lahore a “pretty surreal and unreal.” Jordan played his part in a remarkable night in Lahore as Peshawar Zalmi won the second edition of the Pakistan Super League in front of a packed house. In an interview with ecb.co.uk, the Sussex and England man reflected on a whirlwind few days in Pakistan, and his decision to play a match many overseas players turned down. “It was pretty surreal! Obviously from making the decision to go, we were well briefed and everything was well documented about how everything was going to run from the time we left on the plane from Dubai to the time we got back.” said Jordan. “As soon as we landed in Lahore, we were met by military guys, escorted straight onto a bus and had a 10-minute drive to the hotel with a full escort. The road was cordoned off and no-one was on the streets – it was a bit unreal!” ...
