Misbah announced retirement after West Indies tour

Misbah Ul Haq and his salute celebrations are still in. This trend is not over folks. Misbah and his side won a domestic championship in Karachi and at the end of the game we saw Misbah and his players celebrating the win with a salute.

Now the pushups were not there. This was a bit surprising because the salute often comes after the ten pushups. This is a new style of celebration which Misbah introduced in the world of cricket. This style of celebration first came during the England tour.

Pakistan team was playing the first test at the historic cricket ground of Lords. Now we all know cricket was given birth on this very ground. For every team including England itself a test match at Lords is always very important. Winning it is like achieving Nirvana.

Misbah Ul Haq scored a hundred in the first innings of the test match. It was a big moment for Misbah Ul Haq. He nudged the ball down to deep third man and there it was his first hundred in England on his maiden as well as last tour.

Misbah put his bat aside and down he went on the ground. He hit ten pushups and then there was that salute. This celebration became viral immediately on the internet. Not even in Pakistan but almost all around the world people praised and like this style of celebration from Misbah.

Later Pakistan won the test match and the whole Pakistani team did the same thing. They hit ten pushups and then hit a salute as well. Now during the presentation at the end of the game Misbah was specifically asked about this celebration style.

Misbah said that this style is a dedication from him and from his team to the Pakistan army officers and men. He said that before coming to England they had a training camp with the army men and they influenced the whole Pakistan team.

As per Misbah the love he saw in the eyes and hearts of those army men was the real motivation behind him and his side. He said that they all made a commitment to those army men that on each hundred and a win in this test series will be celebrated like this. Now here once again we see Misbah repeating the same style of celebration. He is one of those cricketers who has a huge amount of respect from players all around the world.

England cricketer shares experience of Pakistan visit

England cricketer Chris Jordan, who was a key member of Peshawar Zalmi’s winning squad, termed his experience of playing the final of Pakistan Super League in Lahore a “pretty surreal and unreal.” Jordan played his part in a remarkable night in Lahore as Peshawar Zalmi won the second edition of the Pakistan Super League in front of a packed house. In an interview with ecb.co.uk, the Sussex and England man reflected on a whirlwind few days in Pakistan, and his decision to play a match many overseas players turned down. “It was pretty surreal! Obviously from making the decision to go, we were well briefed and everything was well documented about how everything was going to run from the time we left on the plane from Dubai to the time we got back.” said Jordan. “As soon as we landed in Lahore, we were met by military guys, escorted straight onto a bus and had a 10-minute drive to the hotel with a full escort. The road was cordoned off and no-one was on the streets – it was a bit unreal!” ...
