First Day Fall of Wickets Pak vs WI

Fifties by Roston Chase and Shane Dowrich helped hosts fight back after being reduced to 71/5. After winning the toss and opting to bowl, Mohammed Amir put Pakistan ahead as he scalped three wickets and went through West Indies’ top order to return with figures of 3/28.
In their 118 run partnership, Chase brought up his second Test half-century while it was the fifth instance where Dowrich managed to cross the fifty run mark before spinner Yasir Shah dismissed both the batsmen on consecutive deliveries. However a 55 run unbeaten partnership between skipper Jason Holder (30) and Devendra Bishoo (23) helped their side finish for 244/7 at stumps on Day 1 of the first Test match in Kingston.

In his Test debut for the visitors, Mohammad Abbas got the wicket of opener Kraigg Brathwaite and returned with the figures of 1/42.
