Smith looks towards dressing room for review

The Australian captain Smith was almost there in changing the whole concept of review system. Mostly the batsmen ask their partners before going for a review but Smith was busy in looking towards the Australian dressing room. Before he could get any help from there the umpire and Kohli interrupted the action.

Smith was given out lbw to Yadav and his partner Handscomb was not so sure about this one. He went to Smith and then the Australian captain looked for help from the dressing room which the umpire and Kohli did not allow him to do so.

The incident happened when Yadav bowled a ball that went very low to Smith and hit him on his pads. The ball was so low that Smith despite all his efforts failed to put his bat on it. The line of the ball was towards the stumps and when it hit the pads Indian team knew this was a close case.

The umpire raised his finger as he thought Smith was plumb in front. Now Handscomb present at the other end had no idea about this one. He was not sure and that was the time when Smith looked back towards the dressing room. He wanted to check from there if he should go for a review or not. That was something which we have not seen before in cricket. Kohli rushed his way to the umpire and soon Smith had to leave the ground. There was no help given to him and he did not go for the review. He made a good choice as the review would have been wasted here had Smith taken it.

The Australian captain Smith did a strange act today when he was seen looking at the dressing room to confirm should he review his lbw decision or not. Now that was something which the umpires immediately noticed and even Kohli was instant to complaint about it to the umpires.

Smith was adjourned lbw to Yadav. The runner Handscomb was not fully sure and Smith started to look towards the dressing room to see if he gets any signal from there. The umpires and Virat Kohli immediately intervened and Smith then had to leave the ground.

The Australian captain got a very tough ball here. This one was bowled with pace and as it hit one of the cracks on the pitch, it stayed very low and hit the pads. Smith tried his best to counter the ball with the bat but he remained unsuccessful.

The ball almost skids here towards Smith. The umpire had no doubts that the Australian captain was out here. Handscomb at the other end was not much sure about this one. Smith was dubious as well and hence he looked for some help from his dressing room. Now when he was doing that Kohli was very much keen in moving straight to the umpire and asking him to stop Smith. At the end review was not taken and Smith had to move back to the dressing room.

Great catches by Wahab Riaz and Babar Azam against Australia

After Pakistan's woeful fielding in the fourth ODI I in Sydney, they wanted to start well in Adelaide. Alas, the first ball of the match, David Warner r edged an out swinger from Mohammad Amir and at second slip, Azhar Ali hurled out his left hand but couldn't make the ball stick. It was a tough chance, but a costly one. Warner went on to make 179, his career-best knock in ODIs. Warner was dropped again, though by this time he already had 130. And this time it was a sitter. Warner skied the ball off Hasan Ali and Amir, running in from long-on, positioned himself perfectly under the ball, only to have it spill straight through his fingers. It was less costly than Azhar's miss, although Warner still added almost 50 more runs from that point. Straight after Amir's blunder, the TV cameras cut to Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur and fielding mentor Steve Rixon. Heads were in hands, faces were long, and no words were being spoken. The fifth and final ODI of the series between Pa...
