Shah Rukh Khan wants a Zalmi vs KKR series

Bollywood superstar has extended an offer to Javed Afridi for a three-match series between their cricket franchises.

In an article by senior journalist Abdul Majid Bhatti, Khan who owns the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders congratulated Javed Afridi who is the owner of Peshawar Zalmi on winning the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Shah Rukh Khan has offered for the two teams to play the series at a neutral venue which would either be London or Dubai.

According to the report, Afridi said Shah Rukh Khan had called him asking to convince the Pakistani government of the series while he would convince the Indian government.

Afridi added that following the Zalmi’s victory, he had received congratulatory messages from Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Sanjay Kapoor, Gulshan Grover and Shah Rukh Khan.

According to the Zalmi owner, prior to the coming to Lahore to play the PSL final, the emotions expressed by Darren Sammy and Marlon Samuels will bring tears to the eyes of Pakistanis. Afridi said that the two cricketers were honoured to go to Lahore and play in the final and were ready to sacrifice for their team.

Javed Afridi added that Afghan President Ghani had invited the Zalmi to visit Kabul.

On March 5, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Quetta Gladiators in the final of PSL which was played in Lahore.

It was less costly than Azhar's miss, although Warner still added almost 50 more runs from that point. Straight after Amir's blunder, the TV cameras cut to Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur and fielding mentor Steve Rixon. Heads were in hands, faces were long, and no words were being spoken. The fifth and final ODI of the series between Pa...
