Sammy comes with his Urdu advice

The PSL gives the journalists a lot of things to report. From the matches to the individual performances and then the exclusive interviews of the players. Renowned sports journalist Bisma had an interview with Peshawar Zalmi captain Darren Sammy.
Sammy is one of those PSL products whom the Pakistani love and respect a lot. He is their hero for that matter. Sammy last year spoke a bit of Pashto and this year he comes with something in Urdu. In this interview the Peshawar Zalmi captain spoke some Urdu.

Sammy had a great run in the PSL. He was named the captain of the Peshawar Zalmi side out of the blue. No one was expecting this decision which the former captain Shahid Afridi made in the drafts. Sammy was completely thrilled for this new role.

Sammy led the Peshawar Zalmis really well. He is a senior player and knows the game really well. The Zalmis remained the best side in the group stage game. They won most of their group stage games. Then qualified for the playoffs being the table toppers. Then they lost the first playoff and people started to worry about them. They lost to the same team which defeated them in the opening edition in the same game. Then they won the second qualifier and went to the finals. They won the final against Quetta and became the champions.

The Peshawar Zalmi captain first leaned a bit of Pashto while being the part of Pakistan super league and now he is on to Urdu as well. The former West Indian captain while having an exclusive interview with Bisma Ahmed a renowned sports journalist was showing his Urdu speaking skills.

Sammy said a few lines about breakfast in Urdu. It meant that wake up early in the morning and then have a good healthy breakfast as well. The Peshawar Zalmi captain enjoys his time spent in the PSL. This year his side won the title as well.

For these little things Sammy has been able to get the love and support of the Pakistani people. Now coming to his own performance and that of his team it was excellent. There was a reason they won the cup and it was their performance.

The Peshawar Zalmi did their best to ensure they don’t fall back like last year. They give in their best in each game and did not take anything lightly. Sammy led the boys really conclusively. He is a mature cricketer and knows the T20 format really well.

The Peshawar Zalmi did lose their first playoff against Quetta and people did thought that they might face the same results like last year at the end of this stage. But Sammy and his men made it through in the next game. They won against Karachi and qualified for the finals. After that in Lahore we all saw what they did to Quetta. The PSL final was not up to the mark but still it was a reasonable entertainment. Sammy now heads towards Hong Kong.

Great catches by Wahab Riaz and Babar Azam against Australia

After Pakistan's woeful fielding in the fourth ODI I in Sydney, they wanted to start well in Adelaide. Alas, the first ball of the match, David Warner r edged an out swinger from Mohammad Amir and at second slip, Azhar Ali hurled out his left hand but couldn't make the ball stick. It was a tough chance, but a costly one. Warner went on to make 179, his career-best knock in ODIs. Warner was dropped again, though by this time he already had 130. And this time it was a sitter. Warner skied the ball off Hasan Ali and Amir, running in from long-on, positioned himself perfectly under the ball, only to have it spill straight through his fingers. It was less costly than Azhar's miss, although Warner still added almost 50 more runs from that point. Straight after Amir's blunder, the TV cameras cut to Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur and fielding mentor Steve Rixon. Heads were in hands, faces were long, and no words were being spoken. The fifth and final ODI of the series between Pa...
