Most funny umpiring in test cricket

In the ongoing third test between India and Australia, the fourth day produced a great moment. The umpire was about to give Pujara out and then he at the last moment changed his decision. The up going finger went towards the head and the umpire started scratching his head.

This was the most hilarious moment from the test series so far. The commentators noticed that they thoroughly enjoyed this one. Hazelwood bowled this ball and he did not appeal and nor did Wade went up with his hands here. The umpire still was about to give this out.

Chris Gaffaney, the umpire from New Zealand had a hilarious moment in the Ranchi Test between India vs Australia as he pretended to adjust his hat after initially raising the finger to indicate Cheteshwar Pujara’s dismissal

Chris Gaffaney provided a hilarious moment on the fourth day of the Ranchi Test between India vs Australia.

Umpires Christopher Gaffaney and Ian Gould have been as much in the limelight in the third Test between India and Australia as the players. Gould was seen laughing hysterically on Day One of the Test in Ranchi after India wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha put his hand between Australia captain Steve Smith’s legs and appealed for a dismissal.

On Sunday afternoon, the fourth day of the Test, it was Gaffaney who was the focus of television cameras. The match official from New Zealand seemed to have made up his mind on an appeal for Cheteshwar Pujara’s dismissal. He began raising his finger to indicate dismissal but midway through started adjusting his hat. Last year, Kiwi umpire Billy Bowden was seen making a move similar to Gaffaney.

Umpiring in a domestic T20 game in December, Bowden —famous for his crooked finger stance — began raising his hand for a half-hearted appeal for Mahela Jayawardene’s caught behind.

But just like Gaffaney did on Sunday, Bowden pretended to adjust his hat while dismissing the appeal.

Great catches by Wahab Riaz and Babar Azam against Australia

After Pakistan's woeful fielding in the fourth ODI I in Sydney, they wanted to start well in Adelaide. Alas, the first ball of the match, David Warner r edged an out swinger from Mohammad Amir and at second slip, Azhar Ali hurled out his left hand but couldn't make the ball stick. It was a tough chance, but a costly one. Warner went on to make 179, his career-best knock in ODIs. Warner was dropped again, though by this time he already had 130. And this time it was a sitter. Warner skied the ball off Hasan Ali and Amir, running in from long-on, positioned himself perfectly under the ball, only to have it spill straight through his fingers. It was less costly than Azhar's miss, although Warner still added almost 50 more runs from that point. Straight after Amir's blunder, the TV cameras cut to Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur and fielding mentor Steve Rixon. Heads were in hands, faces were long, and no words were being spoken. The fifth and final ODI of the series between Pa...
