Babar Azam clarifies about comparison with Virat Kohli

After Umar Akmal now comes his cousin Babar Azam in the race with Virat Kohli. Now this is something which the Pakistani media needs to skip away. There is no comparison between Indian skipper Virat Kohli and any of the Pakistani batsman and the reasons are pretty much blunt here.

Babar Azam was today asked in a presser that how would he see himself as a comparison to Virat Kohli. This was not a good question first and second Babar did the right thing. His answer gave the impression that he is not thinking about being compared to Virat Kohli.

Right-handed Pakistani batsman Babar Azam has spoken up about being compared to Indian captain Virat Kohli, saying that he believes that Kohli is a completely different batsmen, and he has his own style.

The 22-year-old who outperformed in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 while playing for Karachi Kings, looks confident for the upcoming series against West Indies. He said that he has his own batting style and does not want to be compared with Kohli.

Earlier, Umar Akmal had said that Babar Azam was the right person to be compared with the Indian batting talent.

The batsman also revealed that he was focusing on his bowling as he wishes to play as an all-rounder in the future.

Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali also shared his opinion with the media in a talk that was held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Monday.

Hasan said that veteran fast-bowler Waqar Younis had always been his idol. The 23-year-old said that he grew up watching the cricket legend’s brutal, toe-crushing yorkers.

England cricketer shares experience of Pakistan visit

England cricketer Chris Jordan, who was a key member of Peshawar Zalmi’s winning squad, termed his experience of playing the final of Pakistan Super League in Lahore a “pretty surreal and unreal.” Jordan played his part in a remarkable night in Lahore as Peshawar Zalmi won the second edition of the Pakistan Super League in front of a packed house. In an interview with ecb.co.uk, the Sussex and England man reflected on a whirlwind few days in Pakistan, and his decision to play a match many overseas players turned down. “It was pretty surreal! Obviously from making the decision to go, we were well briefed and everything was well documented about how everything was going to run from the time we left on the plane from Dubai to the time we got back.” said Jordan. “As soon as we landed in Lahore, we were met by military guys, escorted straight onto a bus and had a 10-minute drive to the hotel with a full escort. The road was cordoned off and no-one was on the streets – it was a bit unreal!” ...
