Australia Fall of Wickets

The Australian were all out in no time in the second innings of the second test. The Indian bowlers were in control throughout the day especially the off spinner Ashwin. He was absolutely brilliant with the ball and his variations totally dominated the Australian batting.

The Indian side has not only won the test match but they are able to square the series as well. Team India has their batting as their leading concern at the moment. They have not made a solid number of runs in the first two tests. This is something which they will have to figure out.

Australia needed 188 runs in the final innings. At that stage there was a chance if they bat well then they might seal the second test match in their favor as well. But then the wickets started to fall and the Australian batting line came pressure.

Warner fell lbw to Ashwin. The left hander struggles against the off spinner and this is something which is common for both of them now. The big wicket was that of Smith who fell lbw to Yadav. That wicket was the big blow which Indian gave to Australia.

The pitch played an important role in the game. It was fourth innings and already the pitch was quite deteriorated. The spin of Ashwin was enough to cause Australia a lot of damage. He picked up six wickets in the innings and rattled the Australian batting line.

The Australian wickets trembled today and as at the end it was Indian winning the second test match of the series. This was a powerful performance from the home side and they have level the series. Kohli and his men were absolutely brilliant today.

They made sure they bowl in the right areas and with the help from the pitch the Indian spinners especially Ashwin took control of the Australian batting line in no time. Ashwin claimed six wickets in the innings. He was absolutely unplayable today.

Australia did not get a huge total to chase and if they had made up something different in terms of plan to counter India then we might have seen a different result. Australia looked defensive and that is where the Indian team attacked them.

The spin of Ashwin troubled the Australian on an old pitch. There was uneven bounce and that caught the Australians. There was Warner who was out lbw to Ashwin again. The off spinner has taken him for a lot of times now in test cricket.

In fact Ashwin is now the bowler who has taken the wicket of Warner the most number of times in test cricket. The big wicket of Smith fell to Yadav. Another pacey delivery which did not bounce at all. The crack took all the bounce out of this one and made it hit the pads of Smith and he was gone here. The rest of the Australian wickets fell like dry leaves. Indian won the game comprehensively and now they are back in the series.

Great catches by Wahab Riaz and Babar Azam against Australia

After Pakistan's woeful fielding in the fourth ODI I in Sydney, they wanted to start well in Adelaide. Alas, the first ball of the match, David Warner r edged an out swinger from Mohammad Amir and at second slip, Azhar Ali hurled out his left hand but couldn't make the ball stick. It was a tough chance, but a costly one. Warner went on to make 179, his career-best knock in ODIs. Warner was dropped again, though by this time he already had 130. And this time it was a sitter. Warner skied the ball off Hasan Ali and Amir, running in from long-on, positioned himself perfectly under the ball, only to have it spill straight through his fingers. It was less costly than Azhar's miss, although Warner still added almost 50 more runs from that point. Straight after Amir's blunder, the TV cameras cut to Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur and fielding mentor Steve Rixon. Heads were in hands, faces were long, and no words were being spoken. The fifth and final ODI of the series between Pa...
