Ahmed Shahzad is an opening batsman of Pakistan Cricket Team since 2009. He is a right handed batsman. He is captain of HBL team in Quaid e Azam Trophy. Shahzad born in Lahore but he belongs to a Pakhtoon Family and he can speak pashto fluently. His father was died when he was only 2 years old and his mother raised him.
Ahmed Shahzad is an agressive player. He established himself as an opening batsman. Shehzad made his debut for Pakistan in a one-day international against Australia on 29 April 2009. In his maiden match he got run-out scoring just 4 runs. In the following 3 matches he scored 40, 43 and 19 respectively. Shehzad made his Twenty20 International debut on the same tour against Australia scoring a single boundary before being caught in the deep. Despite a failure in the Twenty20, Shehzad was selected for the Pakistan squad in the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 only playing the opening game against England. Whatever happened Pakistan won that World Twenty20 and it is in his achievements.
Ahmed Shehzad, who had been left out of the side's training camp on disciplinary grounds at the start of May, was omitted from 22-man preliminary squad for the England tour in July–August as well. Shehzad was left out on disciplinary grounds again, despite being the leading run-getter in the 50-over Pakistan Cup with 372 runs at an average of 74.40, including a century and three fifties.

The 31-man squad is opener Ahmed Shehzad who was part of Pakistan’s squad for last year’s World Twenty20 held in India. Ahmed Shehzad was dropped after former head coach Waqar Younis described him as an undisciplined player following the event in India. But Ahmed Shehzad finished as top scorer in the National One-day Cup with 653 runs which earned him a recall.
The preliminary squad will train under head coach Mickey Arthur in a camp in Lahore from March 11-17 before leaving for the Caribbean three days later. Pakistan play the first Twenty20 international in Barbados on March 26. That will be followed by three one-day internationals and as many Tests.
