Sri Lanka takes a classic T20 win against Australia

The Sri Lankan team has won the second T20 game of the series against Australia. It was a classic between the
two teams. The Australians batted first and made 173 runs with the bat. This was a good total and Sri Lanka had a pretty bad start in the chase as well.

They lost five wickets in the chase when the score was just 40. Nobody thought that Sri Lanka would win from here onwards but then Gunaratne walked in and his 84 of just 46 balls changed the whole game. He was the one who took Sri Lanka over the finish line.

The game was still a hard one for the Sri Lankans in the final two overs. They needed 36 runs and at that time Gunaratne took some good number of runs against Henriques. He smashed three sixes and a four in that one over and made Sri Lankan powerful.

This was not an easy game at al. the first six was over long off. It was a length ball and Gunaratne picked up over the off side. This was followed by a massive hit on the leg side. Henriques went a bit short and Gunaratne smashed him on the leg side. This was a big one.

The third six went down to the deep backward square leg fence. These three sixes get the target a bit easy for the Sri Lankans. It was some powerful hitting from Gunaratne. In the final over he smashed another six and two fours and put the Australian side down. The Sri Lankans are playing some quality T20 cricket these days.

The Sri Lankans have done it once again. The tourists have won the T20 series against Australia by winning the second game. If the first one was a thriller then this one was even much bigger and Sri Lanka won it out of nowhere.

One man Gunaratne changed the whole complexion of the game with his incredible 84 runs of just 46 runs. Gunaratne hit 5 sixes and 6 fours in his innings. He was absolutely brilliant. There was a point when his side was 40 for 5 wickets.

The Sri Lankans are absolutely nailing things down in the shortest format of cricket. They have the players who are extremely good in this format. This young side defeated the South Africans recently in a T20 series and now it is time for the Australians as well.

What an innings it was from the Sri Lankan all-rounder Gunaratne. His side was 40 for 5 at one stage and they were chasing 173 runs. At that point no one was taking them as a threat to Australia. But once Gunaratne started hitting the ball, the tables started to turn and at the end it was his match winning 84 and the series clinching. There was nothing the Australians could do about him in the center. He played some really strong shots.

Great catches by Wahab Riaz and Babar Azam against Australia

After Pakistan's woeful fielding in the fourth ODI I in Sydney, they wanted to start well in Adelaide. Alas, the first ball of the match, David Warner r edged an out swinger from Mohammad Amir and at second slip, Azhar Ali hurled out his left hand but couldn't make the ball stick. It was a tough chance, but a costly one. Warner went on to make 179, his career-best knock in ODIs. Warner was dropped again, though by this time he already had 130. And this time it was a sitter. Warner skied the ball off Hasan Ali and Amir, running in from long-on, positioned himself perfectly under the ball, only to have it spill straight through his fingers. It was less costly than Azhar's miss, although Warner still added almost 50 more runs from that point. Straight after Amir's blunder, the TV cameras cut to Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur and fielding mentor Steve Rixon. Heads were in hands, faces were long, and no words were being spoken. The fifth and final ODI of the series between Pa...
