Shahid Afridi sixes in PSL 2017

(Watch video at the end of the post)

Shahid Afridi is one of those players in the PSL who can get to any team because of their game play. Afridi is the biggest hitter of the cricket from Asia. People love his cricket
and batting style. Shahid Afridi was the captain of the Peshawar Zalmi side in the opening edition of league. He was their main all-rounder as well. In most of the games he shined with the ball but in a few he showed his muscles and especially in the last game against Islamabad United he was all power.

Afridi tried his best to ensure his side wins the game and qualifies for the finals but the Islamabad team bowling was really good and they ensured that they don’t let Peshawar Zalmi side take much runs. But against Afridi they all failed as he smoked a series of boundaries that night.

The sixes which Afridi hit that night were the biggest of the whole event. Sharjeel Khan was there with some big hits but even he did not math with Afridi. When Afridi hit the ball when all know they stay it. Most of them even leaves the orbit for that matter.

Afridi hit a couple of sixes to Sami. Now the pacer was trying to generate pace and on a good batting wicket Afridi was just getting his bat underneath the ball and whacking the ball on the leg side. The first one was of a short ball. Afridi just held his position and the moment the ball reached near him he smoked it on the leg side. This was a mega hit from the big man. Most of the shots from Afridi wre on the leg side here.

Shahid Afridi hit some of the biggest sixes in PSL last year. For these kind of shots he is famous for. When he comes to whacking the ball he makes sure that the ball stays long in the air for the maximum time. Shahid Afridi knows his game plan. He is one of those players who judges the game perfectly. They know where to hit the ball. These sixes of him tells us that despite being this much old he still has the power to hit the ball long and hard.

There is not one six which you will see falling short over the boundary line. All of them are massive hits. They are the Shahid Afridi airlines for that matter. Afridi has played like this from day one and he did not change his game for one match.

All the time he has been seen smacking the ball and getting runs in the form of boundaries. Afridi is a pro when it comes to hitting the ball hard and long especially in the limited overs cricket. Here against the pace of Sami he was there hitting the ball miles into the stands.

Not even a single six from his bat did not fall short off or over the ropes. All his sixes landed in the upper tier of the stands. This easily tell us that the Pathan still has the power in him. He is one of those players who don’t hit small sixes.

Sami tested him with short ball and every time he bowled one Afridi successfully posted him into the stands. Afridi tried his best to win the game for the Peshawar Zalmi here but there was a lot of score he was chasing. He finally failed at the end.

Great catches by Wahab Riaz and Babar Azam against Australia

After Pakistan's woeful fielding in the fourth ODI I in Sydney, they wanted to start well in Adelaide. Alas, the first ball of the match, David Warner r edged an out swinger from Mohammad Amir and at second slip, Azhar Ali hurled out his left hand but couldn't make the ball stick. It was a tough chance, but a costly one. Warner went on to make 179, his career-best knock in ODIs. Warner was dropped again, though by this time he already had 130. And this time it was a sitter. Warner skied the ball off Hasan Ali and Amir, running in from long-on, positioned himself perfectly under the ball, only to have it spill straight through his fingers. It was less costly than Azhar's miss, although Warner still added almost 50 more runs from that point. Straight after Amir's blunder, the TV cameras cut to Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur and fielding mentor Steve Rixon. Heads were in hands, faces were long, and no words were being spoken. The fifth and final ODI of the series between Pa...
