Shahid Afridi innings against Quetta Gladiators

Shahid Afridi comes with a bang and this time with the bat. He has won a sensational game of cricket for the Peshawar Zalmi. The Quetta Gladiators
have been defeated by Shahid Afridi. There was no other player who came in as a hurdle for Quetta but Afridi.

Afridi changed the complexion of the game with his bat today. His 45 not out gave Zalmi the win. They were almost out of the game and then Afridi came in and played some remarkable shots. It was an innings which could easily be referred as the best one from the PSL.

This innings from Shahid Afridi is the best one he has played in the PSL. He has a fifty to his name in the game against Karachi but this is different here. This innings had the responsibility to finish the game. Against Karachi Afridi could not win the game.

Here he won the game and made a few ladies really emotional. This innings had big shots and some cheeky cricket as well. The last two boundaries which Afridi hit were pure timing and placement. He used the gaps present on the off side to his advantage. Afridi showed his team mates how to bat today.

There was pressure on him. But he fought against it. The other fell under the same pressure. Afridi has been in such situations before so he knew that he has to just keep his calm and make sure that he gets the runs coming towards his side.

Shahid Afridi has done it once again. The Peshawar Zalmi all-rounder gave his side the best win of this PSL season. They now are right at the top of the points table and also they are in the play offs as well. Shahid Afridi played a blinder today.

This innings was full of big shots but at the same time he was very watchful against bowler like Mills. He knew that Mills was a dangerous player who could have taken him out so he decided not to free his arms against him. Against the rest of the bowling he was pretty clear.

Shahid Afridi could have not made these runs had he been caught at long off on the first ball that he faced. It was a tough chance for Nawaz as he reacted a bit late. The ball fell in front of him. A quick analysis of the catch would have made him come under it.

But then after this there was not one single chance single chance given by Afridi to the Quetta bowlers. Each hit after that went over the fence. Some of his sixes were monsters. This is his persona in batting. When he hits the ball it stays hit. There is hardly any chance left for any fielder to catch the ball. Zalmi needs some focus. They were below average in the chase. They all should be thankful to Afridi who saved them else they could have been defeated with a huge margin.

England cricketer shares experience of Pakistan visit

England cricketer Chris Jordan, who was a key member of Peshawar Zalmi’s winning squad, termed his experience of playing the final of Pakistan Super League in Lahore a “pretty surreal and unreal.” Jordan played his part in a remarkable night in Lahore as Peshawar Zalmi won the second edition of the Pakistan Super League in front of a packed house. In an interview with ecb.co.uk, the Sussex and England man reflected on a whirlwind few days in Pakistan, and his decision to play a match many overseas players turned down. “It was pretty surreal! Obviously from making the decision to go, we were well briefed and everything was well documented about how everything was going to run from the time we left on the plane from Dubai to the time we got back.” said Jordan. “As soon as we landed in Lahore, we were met by military guys, escorted straight onto a bus and had a 10-minute drive to the hotel with a full escort. The road was cordoned off and no-one was on the streets – it was a bit unreal!” ...
