Shahid Afridi gets Zalmi important win

Shahid Afridi has shown his magic once again. The Peshawar Zalmi all-rounder showed his magic with the bat today. He scored 45 runs with the bat and hit the most important innings of the match for Zalmi. His batting put Zalmi over the line.

After the win comes the celebrations from Shahid Afridi and this was the typical Shahid Afridi style of celebrations. He hit a great innings under pressure. There cannot be any other player from Zalmi who could have done this. Under pressure they all fell except for Shahid Afridi.

Shahid Afridi was absolutely sensational and there is no doubt about it. He almost got out on the first ball. Against the spinner Mehmoodullah he went down the track and mistimed his shot towards long off. He was lucky that the ball did not reach the fielder.

But then after that Afridi realized that he has to bat till the end. There was not much batting left with the last known batter Hafeez standing with him at the other end. The Pathan then hit some big shots only when he got settled on the pitch. He hit some amazing sixes. It was his innings and the way he was pumped up showed that he wanted to win this one. With this win now the Peshawar Zalmi are right at the top of the points table and they have qualified for the playoffs as well.

Shahid Afridi once again stood up for the Peshawar Zalmi and he has won them a very crucial game. Zalmi have qualified for the play offs thanks to a magnificent 45 from Shahid Afridi. This cannot come any better than this at the moment for Zalmi and Afridi.

Shahid Afridi when came to the crease there were runs left and half of the batsmen out. It was a critical stage of the game and he showed his experience. They say big match big players well Shahid Afridi has proved that right. He starred in a big match for the Zalmis.

It had to Shahid Afridi because they say big players come in big games. Peshawar Zalmi were playing their most important game of the event before the play offs. They needed to win this to make sure they qualify for the play offs.

The Peshawar Zalmi had all sorts of nightmares in the chase. They lost five early wickets. They were far behind the run rate and everything was upside down for them. Even Shahid Afridi got away with a close chance on the first ball that he faced.

He was almost there to throw his wicket away to long off fielder. But the luck was with him. After this he smashed the ball into the stands. There was no half shot played from him. He gave the bowlers respect as well. He did not test Mills knowing that he could get him out. Against the other bowlers he was pretty harsh. Afridi after winning the game threw the typical celebration style for him. This is what he is know for.

England cricketer shares experience of Pakistan visit

England cricketer Chris Jordan, who was a key member of Peshawar Zalmi’s winning squad, termed his experience of playing the final of Pakistan Super League in Lahore a “pretty surreal and unreal.” Jordan played his part in a remarkable night in Lahore as Peshawar Zalmi won the second edition of the Pakistan Super League in front of a packed house. In an interview with ecb.co.uk, the Sussex and England man reflected on a whirlwind few days in Pakistan, and his decision to play a match many overseas players turned down. “It was pretty surreal! Obviously from making the decision to go, we were well briefed and everything was well documented about how everything was going to run from the time we left on the plane from Dubai to the time we got back.” said Jordan. “As soon as we landed in Lahore, we were met by military guys, escorted straight onto a bus and had a 10-minute drive to the hotel with a full escort. The road was cordoned off and no-one was on the streets – it was a bit unreal!” ...
