Sachin Tendulkar VS Shoaib Akhtar, amazing moments

There is no doubt that if Sachin Tendulkar was one of the finest batters in the world of cricket then there was Shoaib Akhtar with his rattling pace. These two played a lot of games against each other and they both have
their moments against each other. It is really hard to pick up a straight winner.

There were times when we saw Tendulkar getting Shoaib to all parts of the park. Then there were moments when Shoaib took out the stumps of Tendulkar. They both were competitive cricketers and the world of cricket loves them both for their entertainment provided.

It was the historic cricket ground of Kolkata. Pakistan was facing India in a test match. It was the first test match for Shoaib Akhtar. Saqlain Mushtaq was bowling really well. He was getting spin and the two teams were about to eh start the post lunch session.

Shoaib came with two brilliant yorkers. Those two balls came out of nowhere from the fast bowler. He first bowled out Dravid and then on the very next ball he knocked out the middle stump of Sachin Tendulkar. This was the first ever test duck scored by Sachin Tendulkar. It was a magnificent ball and it stunned the crowd. The Indian batting scattered away after this blow. Tendulkar then made a comeback in the next innings coring a hundred.


Sachin Tendulkar and Shoaib Akhtar were two of the best cricketers from arch rivals nations, India and Pakistan. Tendulkar and Shoaib competed against each other a lot of times and it will be really hard to pick up a winner amongst the two. They were both winners.

There were times when Sachin took over Shoaib with his bat and then at time it was Shoaib who used to nail down Tendulkar with the ball. Their first encounter was in India when Shoaib got the wicket of Tendulkar on the first ball. It was the first ever test golden duck for Tendulkar.

These two players first met each other at Kolkata. It was a test match and Pakistan was under pressure while playing against India in India. Shoaib was making his test debut in this game. Shoaib in the first innings produced a breath taking spell right after the lunch break.

His two Yorkers against Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar were totally unforgettable ones. The first one knocked out the stumps of Dravid and then on the second ball the middle stump of Sachin Tendulkar was on the floor. These two were certainly the best inswing Yorkers of all times. They took out two of the main Indian batsmen who as they say had the best defense. Shoaib became Shoaib Akhtar that day. It was fantastic start for him.
