Lasith Malinga bowls a ripper to Australian batter

(video at end of the post)

Sri Lankan pace bowler and former T20 captain Lasith Malinga is back in the fields. The pace bowler was having a long period of rest as recovering from his feet injury. Now he is fit and he has taken his place back in the Sri Lankan side.

Not only this but he bowled some beauties in the game today against Australia’s Prime Minister XI. The pacer bowled a ripper in the very first over of the match and took the middle stump out for a walk. This was a Yorker from Malinga and he deserved a wicket on this one.

Malinga showed his total control over the ball. It was the opening over of the innings. Malinga came running in and swung the ball massively. The initial line and length on this ball was not a hard one. It would have been a length ball outside the off stump.

The best shot against this ball would have been a drive through the off side. This is exactly the shot the batsman tried to execute. He was deceived by that late swing. The ball went in and towards the middle stump. As the batsman was already committed to his shot he went for it and gave Malinga that gap between his bat and pad. The middle stump went some feet away after he ball hit it. This was indeed a wicket taking delivery.

When it comes to bowling best Yorkers in the cricket today, Sri Lankan pace bowler Lasith Malinga has his name right at the top. The pace bowler knows about all the controls to land a toe crusher. He has been really good with such kind of balls.

Today we saw him hitting a brilliant Yorker with the new ball. Now bowling a Yorker with a new ball is something which needs a lot of skills. It is now easy to hit a Yorker with the new cherry but here Malinga bowled an absolute beauty and it gave him the middle stump of the batter.

Malinga was bowling his first over in a practice match after a long time. He was injured and hence he was out of cricket for a year. But now he is fit and it seems that he has been practicing with his bowling in recent times. This ball here shows that for sure.

This was an absolute toe crusher. It had pace and it swung back really late. This late swing on this ball made the fool out of the Australian opener. He was going for a drive and at the end he saw the ball coming right back at him. At that point he could have done anything. The ball went through the bat and the pads and after that there was nothing stopping it. The middle stump was seen going for a dance. This was an absolute beauty from Malinga. He has certainly announced that he is back into the action and will come for more wickets.

Great catches by Wahab Riaz and Babar Azam against Australia

After Pakistan's woeful fielding in the fourth ODI I in Sydney, they wanted to start well in Adelaide. Alas, the first ball of the match, David Warner r edged an out swinger from Mohammad Amir and at second slip, Azhar Ali hurled out his left hand but couldn't make the ball stick. It was a tough chance, but a costly one. Warner went on to make 179, his career-best knock in ODIs. Warner was dropped again, though by this time he already had 130. And this time it was a sitter. Warner skied the ball off Hasan Ali and Amir, running in from long-on, positioned himself perfectly under the ball, only to have it spill straight through his fingers. It was less costly than Azhar's miss, although Warner still added almost 50 more runs from that point. Straight after Amir's blunder, the TV cameras cut to Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur and fielding mentor Steve Rixon. Heads were in hands, faces were long, and no words were being spoken. The fifth and final ODI of the series between Pa...
