Imran Khan furious with umpires

Back in 1987 Pakistan made a tour to India. Both arch rivals played some good cricket and despite not being favored by the umpires as they were busy in saving Indian team all the time Pakistan won the test series. The umpiring from this series was absolutely poor.

Imran Khan and Javed Miandad at times lost their cool against the umpires. This is one of those times when the umpire did not give Sunil Gavaskar out despite being clear out. There was no element of doubt in these two dismissals and yet Sunil was not given out.

This is the famous 1987 test series and here the umpires gave the Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar not out twice. The first time he was plumb in front of the stumps against the bowling of Iqbal Qasim. The ball spun back a lot here and Gavaskar was nowhere close to the line of the ball.

He was on his back foot and the ball hit the back leg. This was out by all the lbw standards. The Pakistani team made a huge shout and the umpire gave it not out. After this Gavaskar was caught at short leg and once again umpire refused to recognize the big edge. Javed Miandad was finding it really hard to control his nerves. He was seen thrashing the umpire. Imran Khan was standing unhappy near the umpire as well. He had a chat with the umpire after these two cases. Pakistan won this tour despite all this at the end.

We all remember the 1987 tour of Pakistan to India. It was a much hyped tour and these two teams played some quality cricket. In that era the umpires used to serve in the games were picked from the home side. Hence there were Indian umpire doing their jobs in this series.

Now they did not leave any opportunity to give the Indian side chance to win the series. There were some really poor decisions made by the Indian umpires. There is no doubt that they were trying to serve their home side and favoring them all the time.

Sunil Gavaskar first got away with a certain lbw shout. The ball was spun back into his stumps from Iqbal Qasim. Now Gavaskar went onto his back foot to defend this one. But then the ball missed his bat and hit the pads. This was out for sure but the umpire said no.

The Pakistan team did not believe the decision. Next there was a big inside edge played on the ball and despite the catch being taken at short leg the umpire again gave it not out. This decision boiled the blood of the Pakistani team. They were seen criticizing the umpire for his biased approach. Imran Khan was angry but at the same time he was trying to keep his players under control as well. Despite all this it was Pakistan who won this series and this was a big moment for this team.

Great catches by Wahab Riaz and Babar Azam against Australia

After Pakistan's woeful fielding in the fourth ODI I in Sydney, they wanted to start well in Adelaide. Alas, the first ball of the match, David Warner r edged an out swinger from Mohammad Amir and at second slip, Azhar Ali hurled out his left hand but couldn't make the ball stick. It was a tough chance, but a costly one. Warner went on to make 179, his career-best knock in ODIs. Warner was dropped again, though by this time he already had 130. And this time it was a sitter. Warner skied the ball off Hasan Ali and Amir, running in from long-on, positioned himself perfectly under the ball, only to have it spill straight through his fingers. It was less costly than Azhar's miss, although Warner still added almost 50 more runs from that point. Straight after Amir's blunder, the TV cameras cut to Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur and fielding mentor Steve Rixon. Heads were in hands, faces were long, and no words were being spoken. The fifth and final ODI of the series between Pa...
