England wickets package vs India

(Sorry for a black in start. Video starts after 1:15 timecode)

India beat England in the third and final T20 match to claim the T20 series to their names. Before that they did the same to the England side in the tests and ODI series. England looked no match to India and that is pretty surprising.

India was far ahead of the England side in both batting and bowling. India scored runs and a lot of them in the third T20 and then bowled really well to defend them by a big margin. The fall of wickets here from the England camp show that they were playing under pressure.

There was no fifty from the England side which was one of the main reasons they lost the game. Indian had a couple of them. They middle order batted really well and kept hitting their shots to move the run rate up and up. England never had this in their batting.

England had a few 40s only. Now when you are chasing 202 then 40s don’t work. England needed something big from its batters and it was not there at all. Billings and Roy left early and with that England came under pressure. They did not look focused and then the Indian bowling took their revenge. Root and Morgan were important wickets and Chahal took them down.

England could not defy India once again. This is their third defeat in terms of series. They lost to India in the tests first then in the ODI and now they failed to get the T20 series as well. On batting decks England could have performed better with the bat.

Their defeats in the test series can be justified but in the ODI and T20 series they looked lame. At least a better batting performance or even close games would have been good for the fans. Here we see he fall of England wickets in the third T20 and one can see the mindset here.

England lost their openers early and after that there was hardly any batsman who did not give in everything from the Indian side. For India it was really easy to pick up English wickets after they broke the main partnership between Root and Roy.

Spinner Chahal took six wickets in the match, he bowled with a really attacking line and length and the England batters could not pick his ling, length and spin. England made this into a hard case for themselves. All they needed to do was follow the MS Dhoni who batted really well for India of even Raina. England came under pressure when the wickets of Root and Morgan fell and then on just 8 runs they gave their last eight for just eight runs.

Great catches by Wahab Riaz and Babar Azam against Australia

After Pakistan's woeful fielding in the fourth ODI I in Sydney, they wanted to start well in Adelaide. Alas, the first ball of the match, David Warner r edged an out swinger from Mohammad Amir and at second slip, Azhar Ali hurled out his left hand but couldn't make the ball stick. It was a tough chance, but a costly one. Warner went on to make 179, his career-best knock in ODIs. Warner was dropped again, though by this time he already had 130. And this time it was a sitter. Warner skied the ball off Hasan Ali and Amir, running in from long-on, positioned himself perfectly under the ball, only to have it spill straight through his fingers. It was less costly than Azhar's miss, although Warner still added almost 50 more runs from that point. Straight after Amir's blunder, the TV cameras cut to Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur and fielding mentor Steve Rixon. Heads were in hands, faces were long, and no words were being spoken. The fifth and final ODI of the series between Pa...
