Shahid Afridi has played a lot of fancy cricket tournaments in his cricketing career. One such was held in 2011 in Hong. Afridi was inducted in the world eleven team despite Pakistan being one of the contenders in the event. This was a big plus for the World eleven.
Afridi was as blistering in this event as he has always been. The boundaries were short in this event and Afridi took that as a huge advantage for himself. He hit the ball miles over the ropes in almost all the innings he played. His presence was total entertainment package for the fans.
Recently Shahid Afridi went down to some tours inside Pakistan. His primary job was to get the fund raising and also educate people about the work his foundation is doing for the poor people. Afridi has clearly hinted that his international cricket is over.
Shahid Afridi was asked about any chance of his return to the Pakistan team and his answer was no. Afridi knows that now the board is not willing to except him. His days in international cricket are over. Afridi said that now he will focus more on his foundation. Cricket for the moment is linked with PSL for Afridi. He will be playing for the Peshawar Zalmi side once again. Afridi has left the captaincy of this PSL franchise.
Shahid Afridi was part of the World Eleven side in the 2011 edition of the honk Kong super sixes. Despite there was Pakistan team present in the event, Afridi was selected for the World Eleven with the like so Vincent, Gibbs, Chawla and a few others.
Afridi as usual love such cricket in which he gets a free hand to hit the ball to all parts of the park. He hit the ball hard and long and in each game he was seen hammering the bowlers. The boundaries were short and as a result, Afridi hit a lot of shots over the ropes.
A per his recent press talk the fans now will have to accept this fact that his cricket at the international level is over. Afridi will now have to take his retirement from the T20 format as he has already taken it from the test and ODI.
Shahid Afridi said in his presser that now he will focus more on his foundation and the charity work. He said that he will make some plans for the development of cricket in Pakistan as well. As for his cricket, Afridi said that he has no plans of going back into the Pakistan side. He said that his days are over in international cricket and he is not going to pursue anything in international cricket.
